Show Grace

DAILY VERSE

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23

new-day-screen

DEVOTION

We all make mistakes. Many times our days are filled with them. Thankfully, God shows us grace. Like the movie Ground Hog Day, we have a fresh start each day to do better. Be thankful, always strive to stumble less, and show others the same grace you’ve been gifted with.

Remind Yourself

DAILY VERSE

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

Psalm 103:1-5

talkingtoyourself

DEVOTION

I do this all the time, talk to myself, I mean. The old saying goes, “Count your blessings.” When you’re faced with anxiety and a lack of hope, know this, the Enemy is attacking. One way to combat his attacks is to reflect on all that God has done and everything He is. Warriors for Christ must be ready to do battle! The prize is hope.

He Knows!

DAILY VERSE

Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Matthew 26:34

valley

DEVOTION

Probably the biggest public rebuke Peter ever experienced. But in it we see something remarkable; Jesus knew what Peter was about to do. If you think that God is caught off guard by the circumstances you are experiencing or about to experience, He’s not. He will always have a resolution in mind, whether He’s allowed the circumstances for your growth or you’ve caused them by your stumbling. God sees you descend into the valley and he will always show you the way out!

Don’t Lose Confidence

DAILY VERSE

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.

Hebrews 10:35

confidence

DEVOTION

I don’t know about you, but my confidence can waiver sometimes. Not in God’s goodness or that I have been saved, but that something I’ve prayed for will actually come to pass. You see, when you’ve been praying for something over the course of many years, there will be those times where you’re certain that God is finally about to move and He doesn’t. Those are the times when the Enemy attempts to sew doubt and push you to lose your confidence.

If God has laid something on your heart He WILL come through. Don’t lose your confidence, continue to press forward knowing that, in His timing, God will come through!

Throw Your Net!

DAILY VERSE

And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word, I will let down the nets.”

Luke 5:5

DEVOTION

Simon (Peter) was a seasoned fisherman. Like anyone who’s honed their craft, he certainly knew this was futile at this point. But because Jesus had instructed him to do so, he relented.

How many times has Jesus asked you to simply trust Him, and because you’d experienced a pattern of failure you gave up? Simon pulled up nets that were so full of fish they were nearly bursting! No matter what you’ve experienced, if Jesus asks you to continue throwing out your net, throw it! You just may pull back a miracle.

Don’t Build on Shaky Ground

DAILY VERSE

For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:11

Firm-Foundation

DEVOTION

You can do nothing of substance without building it upon the Rock! You’re marriage, your family, your business… Without the counsel and guidance of the Holy Spirit, the foundation you build upon will be on shaky ground. Sew your plans with God’s guidance, build your legacy on the Lord Jesus Christ!

Held Down

DAILY VERSE

God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places.

Habakkuk 3:19

wrestling-with-god

DEVOTION

If you’ve ever had to take your child in for vaccinations, you know the internal pain that causes, to see your child in pain. Sometimes you have to hold them down so they can get the injections. God does the same to us. As we wrestle through the hard times and trials placed before us, God holds us still because, in the end, these times bring about change and the good things He has in store.

Habakkuk’s name means: To wrestle and to embrace. Both at the same time.

Look to Heaven

DAILY VERSE

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation.

Psalm 42:5

look-up-to-heaven

DEVOTION

Every day brings with it a choice; do we focus on the things that cause us stress, or do we trust that God has everything in His control and focus on what’s to come? If we choose to focus on what’s to come (trusting on God), He will not only be glorified, but our lives will be much more fulfilling, the way He intended. Keep your gaze on high, for there is where hope is born!

God Always Comes Through

DAILY VERSE

I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.

Psalm 77:11

i-remember-thumbnail

DEVOTION

When we’re going through seasons in the valley, it’s helpful to look back and remember all the ways God has come through for us in the past. All of those answered prayers, all of those times where you felt you were barely holding on by a thread when God swooped in and rescued you.

If you think God has forgotten you, then you have forgotten who God is.

Within Your Grasp

DAILY VERSE

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26

miracle

DEVOTION

For miracles to happen we must traverse the rocky roads that lay before us. Miracles come in times of great strife, not when everything is peachy. But we must focus on one thing; When something seems impossible. When everyone around you is saying or thinking you are delusional for continuing down this path. With God, all things are possible. Your miracle is within reach!
