All For Our Good!

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. – Romans 5:8

Today marks an amazing day! Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus took a beating, suffered immense abuse, and endured the horrors of crucifixion and death, all so we could receive the free gift of salvation and be reconciled once again to God the Father.

As we celebrate Jesus’ sacrifice and the hope we’ve received, may you all be richly blessed!

You Are Protected

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

Psalm 34:7

DEVOTION – settle in or establish a camp, especially a military one.

You are protected on all sides! Jesus has your front, your back, and your sides covered. As trials come your way, you are protected. When Satan targets you, you are protected. In every situation, Jesus is there, constantly vigilant, to make sure no harm will come to you! So, fear not!

Forgive, and Forgive Again!

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Colossians 3:13

It’s so simple to allow things to get under our skin and build up over time. But just like a slowly boiling kettle, at some point, the whistle will sound as the steam violently spews out. We can only try to be the best that we can be, none of us are perfect. So forgive, and forgive again! Holding grudges and holding in anger can only lead to broken relationships.

No Weapon…

“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon? Satan knows every crack in your character, every weakness. He will exploit them and he will continue to tempt you until you break or until you utilize the power you’ve been given by God himself to fend him off. The weapons the Devil uses are powerless against the strength of Almighty God!

God’s Got Your Back

For you shall not go out in haste, and you shall not go in flight, for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Isaiah 52:12

very small

Wherever you go, whatever you do, God is with you. He will never leave you to flail on your own, you will not be forced to “sink or swim”. His plans are steadfast and He’s always working for your good. As you face the day, know that God has your back!

God is For You

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

2 Corinthians 1:20

Israel was certainly guilty of one thing that seems to be a theme throughout the Old Testament, they often had spiritual amnesia. They constantly forgot the amazing things God accomplished for them. It seems amazing to me, in this day and age, that you could forget that God Almighty parted the Red Sea so that you could get away from the pursuing Egyptian army. But how many times are we guilty of the same thing? We allow anxiety and despair to overtake us, knowing that time after time God has come through for us. Always remember that God is for you, He is your advocate, He will bring you safely through any storm.

God’s Will is Perfect

And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me. Your throne shall be established forever.

2 Samuel 7:16

There are many times I think I know what God is doing only to be reminded that I am not always privy to God’s plans; I need to continue trusting and continue waiting. We are nothing without the belief that what God is doing is perfect and will be worked out at the perfect time. Be patient, trust that God’s will is perfect, and allow your faith to grow.
