DAILY VERSE
And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth.”
Revelation 5:10

DEVOTION
Being reconciled to God, we are all considered to be priests. We are all called to share God’s word with others and are supernaturally equipped to be ambassadors of Jesus Christ. We cannot rely on our own efforts or understanding, it’s about allowing Christ to work through us and relying on his strength. Do that and you can be used in ways you could never imagine.

DAILY VERSE
Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road. “By chance a priest came along. But when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by.
Luke 10:30-31

DEVOTION
How many times have you walked by, averted your eyes from, or crossed the street to avoid coming in contact with someone less fortunate? The New Testament is full of stories about Jesus Christ. He sought out the poor, the prostitutes, the adulterers, the tax collectors, people who were considered to be lower than everyone else. Jesus says that by caring for these people we are caring for him. We should likewise seek them out, reflecting the Spirit within us.

DAILY VERSE
So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.
Hebrews 4:14

DEVOTION
Do you hold on tightly to your faith? If you do, the problems you face in this world should seem easier to handle. Those that cling loosely or suffer from lack of faith suffer, anxiety and fear. It’s in clinging to Jesus Christ that we find abounding strength and comfort. It’s in Christ that we can face uncertainty and know that in the end, things will be as they should be and that God’s perfect will, will be served.

DAILY VERSE
I will walk among you; I will be your God, and you will be my people.
Leviticus 26:12

DEVOTION
Prior to this verse God is speaking to his people telling them simply, if they follow his rules he will bless and protect them forever. I told my kids, when they were younger, that they could go their whole lives without getting in trouble. Their jaws dropped and they wanted to know how. I said, “Follow the rules and do the right thing and you’ll never get in trouble.” And yes, of course they got in trouble throughout their young lives. It’s the same with us, thankfully God sent his son to free us from our own sinful nature.

DAILY VERSE
Send me a sign of your favor. Then those who hate me will be put to shame, for you, O Lord, help and comfort me.
Psalm 86:17

DEVOTION
As we go through difficult times what we hope for is a restoration that glorifies God, something miraculous that speaks to God’s greatness and not our own efforts. As we humble ourselves and seek to learn what God wants to teach us through trials, he is faithful to give us strength and guidance that results in abundance.

DAILY VERSE
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
Hebrews 7:25

DEVOTION
We are never alone. Knowing that Jesus Christ is interceding for each of constantly should give us great comfort. As we pray, he also prays for us! I know there are times when I don’t feel like God is listening. I know it’s my humanness, because God is much bigger than that and is intimately involved in my life. It’s amazing to me that God takes such an interest and loves us to that degree.

DAILY VERSE
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23:6

DEVOTION
If you’ve ever watched a Charlie Brown episode, you have to remember Pig Pen. He was the dirty kid, a cloud of dust followed him everywhere he went. Human’s can be viewed the same way, except the dust cloud can be our sin. Thankfully we have God, who’s goodness and mercy can overshadow our sin and leave us as clean and white like new fallen snow.
