God is Mighty to Save!

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.

Psalms 37:4-5

When you stop believing that almighty God is truly almighty, you are removing hope and any trust you’ve ever had that God can do all things. God, though it may not be evident in your current situation, is working around the clock toward resolving your hardships. Faith is believing in what you can’t see, but God will manifest His might.

Don’t Let Go!

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

These verses paint a beautiful picture of what complete trust in Christ can look like. Why do we seem to pull back our reliance on God and rely on our own strength so often. When trails hit us full force, we’re face down and on our knees, but when things are humming along we tend to pull back. Complete reliance can allow us to weather those hard times as we do the good. Don’t let go of Christ’s robe!

Trust in God

Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.

Joshua 21:45

God doesn’t speak to us the way he did in the Old Testament. He speaks to us through the Holy Spirit, through urgings and whispers, and sometimes a clear voice. But God follows through with every promise, he can be trusted in all things. If you ever wonder, “Will God really do this, does He hear my prayers?”, be assured He does and He will.

Godly Sight

But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:16–18

Before accepting Jesus Christ, every person walks through life only seeing part of the reality of life. Once you’ve chosen to accepts God’s gift, the blinders come off. We should have compassion for those who do not yet see. We should strive to help them receive the same Godly sight we enjoy, for God’s glory.

Being Trustworthy

Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered, but he who is crooked in his ways will suddenly fall.

Proverbs 28:18

Your integrity should be guarded and protected, a person who is known for their integrity can always be trusted. With all of the arrows the enemy fires at each of us every day, standing in Christ’s strength to thwart his attacks and remaining firm is a virtue. Be known as someone who stands up for who and what they believe in.

He’s Working in the Background

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

Being crucified with Christ is to have faith that the Holy Spirit will guide you in God’s will and that His perfect plan will be manifest in your life. So take heart when it seems God is silent, be strong when God’s timing doesn’t sync with your own; He is working in the background and in the end will be glorified.

God’s Unending Mercy

Blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.

Romans 4:8

When God looks upon us, he does not see the flawed sinner, but the perfect image of Christ. God has an unending degree of mercy. To send Jesus Christ to accomplish the sacrifice that paves the way to salvation for each of us who believe should cause each of us to raise our hands in praise.
