DAILY VERSE
Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
Romans 5:2

DEVOTION
As a believer in Jesus Christ, we have the unique status of being seen by God through Jesus’ eyes. Completely forgiven, totally washed clean of all sin. We should never take for granted the price that was paid to restore our relationship to the Almighty!

DAILY VERSE
“You’re going to wear yourself out—and the people, too. This job is too heavy a burden for you to handle all by yourself. – Exodus 18:18

DEVOTION
Have you ever gone full steam toward something, feeling that God was leading you, only to have it turn into a dead end? Does it mean that your discernment and connection to God have short circuited? I know it can feel that way, but God sees ahead of every situation. He may have ignited a passion in you that will lead to greater things, he may be putting your passion on hold for a season. Either way, his plans are far greater than we can imagine and are far more complex. The result will cause you to raise your hands in praise!

DAILY VERSE
I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
Romans 1:7

DEVOTION
There are some days where we all need a little extra grace and an extra helping of peace. Life can get chaotic and quickly spin out of control. God can provide a peace that surpasses any understanding. Relying on God rather than your own ability to change your situation is the only way to attain that peace.

DAILY VERSE
Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
Mark 4:40

DEVOTION
Life is not supposed to be something to fear, it’s supposed to be full of hope. Things will happen both good and bad, but if we live by our faith in Jesus Christ, through his strength we will persevere. Don’t allow the trials of life to steal your joy. Rely on Jesus to fill your life with hope and strength.

DAILY VERSE
For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good.
Romans 7:15–16

DEVOTION
It’s hard to always do the right thing. Human nature is inherently selfish and self-centered. That’s one reason Jesus sent down the Holy Spirit to be a helper to us. Jesus’ character was that of a servant, though he came with all of the power to rule the world. He left a lasting example for us to follow and what he expects each of us to ascribe to. So lean not on your own understanding, but let God’s Spirit be your guide.

DAILY VERSE
…wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Psalm 27

DEVOTION
Have you ever seen the J.G. Wentworth commercials on TV? “I want my _____ and I want it now!” That pretty much sums up all of us. But God works in his own mysterious ways and quick fixes are usually not the answer. Patience is they key to living a faithful life. God sees the ramifications, sometimes waiting is the key to something bigger than we could ever imagine.

DAILY VERSE
We are in this struggle together. You have seen my struggle in the past, and you know that I am still in the midst of it.
Philippians 1:30

DEVOTION
I love Paul! He is open and real, he wears his heart on his sleeve. If we are all honest as Christians, each one of us struggles with something. We need to be supportive of each other and never “holier than thou”. There is so much to be learned by praying through and tackling struggles head on, with the support of others. We’re all in this together!
