Rely Not, on Your Own Strength

… When he woke up, he thought, “I will do as before and shake myself free.” But he didn’t realize the Lord had left him.

Judges 16:20

When we rely on our own strength, we quickly realize that it’s not enough. When we attribute our God-given talents to our own efforts and inner strength, our resolve will crumble under the weight of hard trials. Samson made the same mistake, but he realized his error and grew in his faith and God strengthened him one last time when he called out to Him. God is quick to redeem those who sincerely seek Him.

Amazing Things…

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

Ephesians 4:20

God’s purpose for our lives is more than simply receiving His free gift of salvation. Jesus says this, “But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it” (Matthew 7:14). The pathway that we’re required to travel as we follow Christ won’t be an easy one, but in the end, God will do many amazing things as He molds us.

Make No Mistake…

So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:27

As a parent, no matter what age your children are, you feel the need to take care of them when they’re in need. So often when we go through trials we tell ourselves that, “God has abandoned us.” Would you abandon your children in their time of greatest need? God is closer than ever when you go through trials. You may not hear His voice, He may be tempering you through the fire of a trial, but make no mistake, He’s right there with you!

Display of Faith

everyone story

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

John 14:12

Some of the rawest and most honest testimony’s come from those in the midst of great trials. This where the rubber meets the road in regard to faith, and those trusting in Christ to get them through the deep and choppy waters make the Gospel come alive. Share your story…

From the Inside Out

For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.

Galatians 5:4

Do you often feel like a failure? Do you feel as if you can never live up to God’s expectations? STOP! Jesus represents God’s grace, He paid a steep price to release you from the bonds of sin and death. Realizing that God is fully good and that His love is limitless will allow you to trust Him with every ounce of your being, transforming you from the inside out.

Don’t Give Up!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

The last six years have been a journey. The tables in our lives were overturned and a long season of trials began. Through these hard times, my faith has been challenged and strengthened. Sometimes you just want to give in, but God’s strength can lift you up and allow you to do things you never thought possible. His plans are far higher than my own, and as He works things out, I trust that the results will be amazing.

Prayer: “Lord Jesus, give me a revelation in my heart today that knows You are good! Father, I get weary and worried, and I need You to pour out Your peace into my life right now. Please give me the reassurance to keep moving forward even when I am not feeling like it. Please bring people into my life who will speak truth and encouragement when I’m feeling discouraged. I give all of my life to You, and I ask that You do whatever it takes to build my faith. Use me for Your Kingdom! I love You, Lord!”

Like a Fine Wine

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

Faith is a necessity when you are relying on God to do big things. But like a fine wine, it takes some time to come into season. This may require some crushing, pressing, filtering out the bad stuff, and even sitting for a while to mature. God has a plan for you, and it’s right around the corner! BELIEVE IT!
