DAILY VERSE

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

1 Chronicles 16:34

DEVOTION

This Thanksgiving, take a moment to remember all that God has blessed you with throughout the year and thank Him. Big and small blessings alike, none is too insignificant to be thankful for. It’s the one thing we sometimes forget to do. It’s easy to come to God with our requests, but it’s important to tell him how thankful we are for his sacrifice and love.

DAILY VERSE
In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
Colossians 3:11
DEVOTION
Looking back on who we were before we accepted Jesus Christ is a trap many of us fall into. Christ isn’t concerned with who we were, he wants us to look ahead to who we can be. His Spirit resides in us to give us the strength and courage to do amazing things.

DAILY VERSE
But the LORD said to David my father, “Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart. Nevertheless, you shall not build the house, but your son who shall be born to you shall build the house for my name.”
1 Kings 8:18–19
DEVOTION
It’s disappointing when we pursue a dream, completely focused on growing God’s kingdom, only to be met with a dead end. It’s especially gut wrenching when it’s a collective dream and there are many others involved. Even though your heart’s in the right place, God can have other plans not only for you, but all involved. Where we see failure God sees opportunity. Don’t be discouraged, seek the amazing alternative God has hand picked for you.

DAILY VERSE

Wealth is treacherous, and the arrogant are never at rest. They open their mouths as wide as the grave, and like death, they are never satisfied. In their greed they have gathered up many nations and swallowed many peoples.

Habakkuk 2:5

DEVOTION

Greed can corrupt the most humble of hearts. An unsuspecting soul can be destroyed by an abundance of money, having access to material things beyond their wildest dreams. Money is a silent killer, it slowly creeps up on you like a stalker stalking it’s pray, and suddenly you’re trapped in it’s web. The only way out is to be sure that God comes first in your life before anything else and to pray for wisdom. God’s kingdom has many uses for a cheerful giver, and those treasures can be stored in heaven where they cannot be corrupted.

DAILY VERSE

“How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? …But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.”

Psalm 13:1, 5

DEVOTION

Seems like every trial comes with one thing in common…patience. Why do you think patience is part of every trial? It’s to help you develop perseverance. Patience is good for short bursts while perseverance is what gets you through the long haul. Face each trial knowing that at the end of it you’ll be wiser and more prepared for the next one.

DAILY VERSE
For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
Colossians 2:12
DEVOTION
Baptism is not only an outward display of your faith, but it also symbolizes the death of your sinful life and the birth of your new life in Christ. It’s not to be taken lightly, we’re talking the keys to eternity here! A life forever in the presence of God! Amen!

DAILY VERSE
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31
DEVOTION
In the midst of great trials it’s almost impossible to think anyone is “for” us. The weight of these circumstances can leave us feeling like we’re on our own. But God is always with us, standing firm, fending off those who would seek to destroy us. He may be building our character through the trials we face, but he will never allow harm to come to us. God is “always” for us!

DAILY VERSE

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:6–7

DEVOTION

The Christian life should be made up of an overflowing of giving, but it’s not works that God wants, it is the outpouring of a changed heart. Giving of your time, your resources, and yourself are the evidence others will see, that you are sold out for Jesus. You can’t fake following Jesus, it is the cheerful giver that mirrors the life of Christ.

DAILY VERSE
No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
1 John 4:12
DEVOTION
Faith is believing in the unseen, although we can see evidence of God in every created thing. The one main message from the Bible is love. The unreached people and non-believers should be able to see something profoundly different in every follower of Jesus Christ…that is love. Love for others sets us apart and gives them a window into the heart of God.

DAILY VERSE
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows”
Matthew 10:29-30
DEVOTION
It’s so easy to allow worry to overtake our lives, but we have to remember how much God loves us and how he would never let us suffer. For God to be able to count the grains of sand on every seashore, he’s mindful of us to the point that he’s numbered every hair. To sum it up; he loves us more than we can imagine, he’s always present, he’s always faithful, and he never changes.
