This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
God creates each of us, complete with unique gifts and a plan. We spend decades wrestling with Him over His plans for us. We think other people are better equipped to do the things God created us to do. But God has already given us everything we need to be who He’s called us to be.
Trust that God has designed you to accomplish everything He has laid before you. Push away all fear and doubt, and step into the role God placed you here to do!
And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
The rain WILL fall, the floods WILL come, and the winds WILL blow, so be prepared! Many Christians live their lives under the false assumption that by being a believer their lives are encased in an invisible forcefield of blessings, devoid of trials. Yes, we are under God’s protection. We have access to His counsel. We enjoy fellowship with Him. But the minute we made the decision to follow Jesus, we become a blip on Satan’s radar.
We must base our relationship with God on His Word, increasing our wisdom daily so that we may be empowered to do battle when the fight comes!
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7
If that were always true we’d all have trouble free lives. But this verse does illustrate where we go when we realize things are getting out of control. When we feel the anxiety rise, the fear creeps in, the negative thoughts of doubt overtake the positive, and hopelessness darkens the day… we turn to God.
If we make walking in faith a habit, we will conquer Satan’s strongholds that block us from enjoying the hope and joy God intended us to have daily!
“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built!”
1 Kings 8:27
It’s the question we ask ourselves whenever trials press in and overwhelm us, “Is God really here with me?” If God never intended to walk with us, He never would have created us. His initial motivation was to be right here like He was with Adam in the garden. Although sin separated us, Jesus forever healed that wound.
God is here! He is with you in the good times, the bad times, and everything in between!
…casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
Sometimes you simply need to empty your backpack. The one you tote around every day and offload your stress, fears, and anxiety into. Yah, the thing on your back that forces you to your knees under its weight. God is here, He’s ready and willing to take it all.
So, strap by strap, take it off and hand it over to the One who can heal all of your wounds!
The human spirit can endure a sick body, but who can bear a crushed spirit?
A crushed spirit can be linked to deep-seated wounds we’ve experienced in our lives. These wounds can cause us to revisit previously repented of sins, causing frustration and can also cause us to doubt our own salvation. The good news, Jesus paid it ALL! You do not have to doubt! In Him we have victory, He will heal your wounds!
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
Our transformation into worthy citizens of heaven is a lifelong endeavor. It’s important to repent and repent often. Beyond our initial face-to-face encounter with Jesus, we will continue to need God’s forgiveness as no one remains sinless. Many times it’s our sin that stands in the way of blessings.
