We all need it; Peace

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

If there’s one thing people would admit to craving in their lives, it would have to be peace. Most of us feel strongly that we need something more—and the all-encompassing word that so well describes it is peace.

True peace can be found in only one place, God the Father. Ask Him to give you the peace that confounds the world we live in. That peace, that in the midst of the storm, we can still be confident that God has everything under control.

You are a Warrior!

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives…

Galatians 5:16

Have you ever been involved in something big? Something that could be potentially life changing for your family? Something this big takes commitment. If God has led you here, stay the course!

You may experience doubts, others may try to discourage you, Satan will certainly plant obstacles in your path.

Your strength comes from the Lord. God created you to be a warrior. You need to stand firm and persevere. Don’t trust your emotions. Trust God’s Spirit within you.

A Meeting with Jesus

The Lord is the Spirit who gives them life, and where he is there is freedom from trying to be saved by keeping the laws of God.

2 Corinthians 3:17

In Acts 9 you’ll meet up with Paul, eager to go to Damascus to round up more of Jesuses followers to be persecuted. Before that, he was holding coats as Stephen was stoned to death.

What could take a man like that and transform him into the man who wrote most of the New Testament? An encounter with Jesus!

No matter what you’ve done in your past, a meeting with Jesus can transform your life! Filled with the Holy Spirit and free from the chains of your past, God can set you on a new path, a path that leaves a mark, a path that reflects the image of Christ, a path that leads to salvation!

Bless Him as He has blessed you!

“I came naked from my mother’s womb,” he said, “and I shall have nothing when I die. The Lord gave me everything I had, and they were his to take away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Job 1:21

God allows Job to be tested by Satan. Messenger after messenger come to him. When one messenger finishes relaying his news, another arrives with more bad news. All of Job’s oxen, donkeys, camels, and his children are all dead.

In the midst of all of this, Job blesses the Lord.

We all face trials of all kinds. Thankfully, most of us have never experienced the weight of Job’s trials. Would you react the same way he did if faced with such devastating news?

Everything we have is due to God’s will. We should be thankful for it and realize that He is the source of all that is good in our lives. Praise God, Bless Him as He has blessed you!

There’s Power in His Name!

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.

Philippians 2:9-10

In the name of Jesus, we find salvation. We are told to pray in the name of Jesus because it is through Him that we have a relationship with God.

If the forces of evil in this world must bow at the mere mention of His name, then when we call upon His name our fears, anxieties, addictions, and sicknesses must bow to Him as well.

There is freedom in the name of Jesus!

You Desires Will Change

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4

When we continually seek out God’s will, something happens. As we seek Him, our desires change and align more with His.

We must hand over our dreams and desires first. We then anticipate, as we show Him our dreams, He’ll be faithful to change our dreams.

As you’ve sought out His will, have your dreams changed? If you dreams have stood the test and have remained, chances are they’re in line with what God wants for you. Continue to pray, waiting with patience, as God reveals His victory over the things you’ve been dreaming of.

You Are New!

“If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. The old has passed away, the new has come.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Treat a person as they are and they will remain as they are. Treat a person as they could be, and they will become what they should be.”

We spend our whole lives trying to be good enough, not realizing Jesus is already calling us by a new name. We don’t need to make ourselves new, we simply need to believe what He says about us.
