DAILY VERSE
Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
Romans 13:10

DEVOTION
The bible, especially the New Testament, talks a lot about love.
It is the one thing that can really bring forth no wrong.
Anger, pride, arrogance, ego, sadness…can all bring out negativity.
If we approach each other in love our motives are good.
Just think of a world where everyone one approached others this way.

DAILY VERSE
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
Psalm 119:105

DEVOTION
To navigate safely in the dark, you need a flashlight.
This world is full of darkness and without a light, we can lose our way.
We have God’s word to light our path, a road map for our lives.
A flashlight is only good if it has fresh batteries.
We need to read God’s word so we’re prepared when life throws us a curve ball.

DAILY VERSE
This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

DEVOTION
You know, some days I just don’t feel like rejoicing.
Things have been hard and that hasn’t changed in a long time.
But God is not small nor is he one who enjoys watching us struggle.
He is a God of power and temporary circumstances, he is a God of hope.
As I meditate on how awesome he is and the hope that I have…I can rejoice!

DAILY VERSE
I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy.
Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!
Psalm 116:1
DEVOTION
If you’ve ever felt like you’re alone and God is not listening, fear not.
God cares deeply for you and takes personal your struggles.
His answer may not be immediate, his direction hidden.
But God will guide your steps to walk the perfect path he has marked out for you.

DAILY VERSE
Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Psalm 115:1
DEVOTION
We, as humans, can be quite self centered.
We may pray for success in something that gets us noticed.
We may pray for a certain situation we’ve been struggling with.
Ask yourself one thing “who gets the glory in this”?
Seeking to glorify God, making sure He gets the credit, shows good intention.

DAILY VERSE
With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
Psalm 108:13 (NLT)

DEVOTION
Do your Prayers involve requests for help?
David prayed, not just for help, but for victory.
In our weakness God is strongest, He is in the victory business.
God wants to do mighty things in your life.

DAILY VERSE
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!
Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.
Psalm 107:1-2 (NLT)

DEVOTION
If Jesus’ disciples would have just disbanded after his ascension, where would we be today?
If those that experienced God first hand on this earth hadn’t put pen to paper what history would we have?
We have been saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ and nobody will know if we keep it to ourselves.
Some will never read the Bible, it is up to us to relay the Good News to those that may otherwise never hear it.

DAILY VERSE
…For you are a slave to whatever controls you.
2 Peter 2:19 (NLT)

DEVOTION
We’re all slaves to something.
It may be money, it might be your job, it can even be time.
It says in 1 Timothy 2:6 “He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone”.
The Greek word for redemption refers to slaves purchased in a marketplace.
Jesus paid the price for our freedom, we are no longer slaves to sin.

DAILY VERSE
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
Psalm 23:4

DEVOTION
This is probably one of the most familiar verses from the Bible.
We all have valley times and times where we’re allowed dwell on the mountain top.
The valley times are the hardest and darkest moments of our existence.
But the latter part of this verse is where the hope lies.
God is with us when we’re walking through the valley, his strength will carry us.

DAILY VERSE
Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.
Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given,
Psalm 105:4-5 (NLT)
DEVOTION
A powerful way to find God is to see how he’s helped his people in the past.
The history of God’s people has been recorded in his word.
In searching through it you will find a loving God who is waiting for us to find him.
If God seems far away, continue to seek him.
God rewards those who sincerely him.
