And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Trust God. Trust His timing. His timing is perfect. Patience matures us. Patience develops our faith. Let God sharpen you. Let God mature and prune your heart.
Choose to love God beyond the things you’re waiting on. Choose to surrender to God in every area of your life. You may have been hoping for a promise to come to pass. You may have been hoping for a vision to come to fruition. You may have been hoping for something in your life to manifest. Choose to shift your attention and redirect your focus —choose to trust God.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Those who “wait” on the Lord… Waiting is definitely something one must work at to do well. Going through a prolonged trial (8-years so far) I thought I had this mastered. But anxiety would creep in. I would find myself worrying, and that would leave me wondering, “We’re is your faith?”
After eight years it is only recently that I’ve found peace in waiting. God’s gift!
Peace comes when you realize that God is good and He wants your life to be good as well. Anxiety and worry are not from Him. Once you surrender your circumstances to God, only then will you find that peace, and with peace comes joy!
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
Don’t throw away your hope. Don’t throw away your confidence in God. Choose to trust in the Lord. Choose to put your trust in Him. Choose to set your heart on His Word. Waiting has a reward. Hoping has a reward. Your patience has a reward.
Don’t lose hope. Choose to have patience. Choose to focus on God. Put your trust in His Word — for He will bring the promise to pass.
So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.
We read throughout the Bible that the Jews are “God’s chosen people”. So where does that leave the rest of us? Because of Jesus, we’ve been “grafted into the tree”. We are now also God’s “chosen ones”.
You never have to search for your identity! You are one of God’s chosen people now! When God looks at you, He sees you through the eye of Christ!
God uses it [His Word] to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
The Bible is our instruction manual for every aspect of life and the obstacles we will face. It is also a roadmap that allows us to follow the footprints Jesus left behind so that we may know the way we must go.
Jesus calls us to follow Him. Through God’s Word you will discover the way. His Word will soften your heart to the point where it is moldable once again.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
It’s God’s character to reveal His will to you. If the Lord wants you to make specific choices, then He will guide you. He understands that the road can become confusing and that often the decisions you face are difficult and complex.
As a good and faithful Father who sees what’s ahead, He’s more than willing to give you direction—and He says so many times in His Word!
For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Even when you’re not clear where God is leading you —if for whatever reason He keeps His will concealed—you can take comfort in the fact that He has you where He wants you and He’s working things out for you that are aligned with His will.
The Lord will guide you through the fog. He will move heaven and earth to show you His will in His timing.
