Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me, and about my conversation with the king. They replied at once, “Yes, let’s rebuild the wall!” So they began the good work.
Things don’t always work out the way you’d hoped. Your plans can be dashed in an instant. Maybe God had stopped the progress so He could do a work in you or a group of people? When that work has been accomplished He may resurrect those plans and anoint those who stayed the course, by faith, to rebuild. Nehemiah had no great skills, he was a cupbearer. But his faith allowed him to be used by God to rebuild Jerusalem! Those who believed partnered with him and this seemingly unsurmountable task was accomplished. If we have just the smallest amount of faith (mustard seed), mountains will be moved!
