For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Climbers scaling Mount Everest never do it alone. There are too many dangers and obstacles to face it solo. Life in Christ is the same, we’re meant to be in community with others. After experiencing a life-changing blow over 5 years ago, I pulled back. Feeling the weight of my situation, I rarely spoke to anyone other than my wife because I didn’t want to be a downer or burden on anyone else. It’s been a tough climb. The few friends that stuck it out I cherish. Don’t attempt to climb the mountain on your own. The way is much more fulfilling in fellowship with others.
