Turning the Tables

And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.

Matthew 21:12

There are only a few times in the Bible where we see Jesus showing anger. Here, His anger came due to the abuses he saw of a ruling elite who had perverted the law and were using it for there own selfish gain. This scene seems to parallel the times we are living in now. The results of removing God from the center of what this country once stood for has brought about chaos, violence, and a lack of morality not seen before. A time traveler from 50 years ago would not recognize America. As Christians we need to shine more brightly than ever before, we need to be willing to turn over a few tables for our faith.
