Always a sinner, saved by grace…

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.

1 John 1:8

The key in making a decision to follow Jesus Christ and also in receiving salvation is admitting you’re a sinner. Your life can’t change and you cannot be saved without this admission of guilt. Too many people think that following Christ is simple, it is not. Some think the day they make the decision they magically become part of a group of non-sinners, nope! You become part of a body of people who all fall short but strive to do better, always admitting they are and always will be sinners saved by God’s grace alone.

  1. I love this book so much. It is also important for us to realise that the verse applies to Gnostic…those who denied the existence of sin. So in the context in which it is cited it helps us all to see, especially those who are without Christ that they are sinners….but that is not true anymore to those who are in Christ. We are no longer sinners but the righteous ones of God

  2. And again we are not righteous based on what we do,….but based on what He has done….so yes we do sin…but that doesn’t make us sinners….for in this case sinner spoke of a nature not actions
