Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.
A farmer who plants a crop cannot rush the process and pick a bountiful harvest. He must tend to the crop and patiently wait, watering the soil, removing the weeds, constantly praying for favorable weather. Like the farmer, we too must be patient in waiting for the Lord’s return. But we have plenty of work do while we wait in preparing for his coming. There are plenty people to reach and love on who don’t the magnitude of God’s grace.
