When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
Isaiah 43:2
Going through hard times can be like being caught in a riptide while enjoying a day at the beach. One minute you’re swimming in cool refreshing water, the next minute your over your head fighting to get back to shore. The harder you fight it, the more you expend all of your energy and are in danger of drowning. God allows for us to go through certain struggles to strengthen and teach us. The more we struggle instead of giving in, we face missing the point of it all. It’s a time for us to seek God’s direction and help. He’s the one that will give us the strength to get safely back to shore.

    1. Absolutely! I am really encouraged by this verse. I read your post regarding money worries. My wife and I have been going through trials for that past two years. It stretches your faith to the limits but ultimately, your faith grows by leaps and bounds when you stop struggling.
